  1. I think that you meant to say “by accident”, not “on accident”.

    Yes, you hear people speak this way often, but it is not correct.

    I was all ready to correct it, to show the error of my ways. Then I thought maybe I ought to check with another source. Lo and behold, to say it is “not correct” may be not correct.
