Here’s the week’s government happenings.
Kitsap County Commissioners (meet at 619 Division Street, Port Orchard)
Monday, Aug. 29, 10 a.m.: No point in going to this meeting, it’s an executive session on pending litigation and personnel matters until its Noon adjournment.
2 p.m.: This meeting starts with an annexation update from Eric Baker and Angie Silva; then a preliminary fair debrief by Parks and Recreation Director Jim Dunwiddie from 2:30 to 3 p.m.; a look at the Forestry Stewardship Plan with Arno Bergstrom will last 45 minutes; then a 15 minute open space applications review will be done with Maxine Schoales; at 4 p.m. the board will get a budget update by Amber D’Amato before the 4:30 p.m. adjournment.
Wednesday, Aug. 31, 8 a.m.: This meeting will
be a three hour DCD summit with the board and stakeholders, led by
Department of Community Development Director Larry Keeton. At 11:30
a.m. the board recesses into executive session to discuss real
estate until noon.
City of Bremerton (meets at 345 Sixth Street, Bremerton)
Wednesday, Aug. 31, 5 p.m.: Meeting has been
canceled.
City of Port Orchard (meets at 219 Prospect Street)
No meeting this week.
City of Poulsbo (City Hall, 200 Moe Street)
Wednesday, Aug. 31, 4 p.m.: The City Council is
holding a meeting with a facilitator to review its 2011 goals and
discuss its 2012 goals which include: Broadband; Parking; Economic
Development; Trails and Parks; Pavement Restoration/Maintenance;
and Salmon Restoration. The meeting is set to adjourn at 9
p.m.
