Already the third week of November, can you believe it?! Here’s the meeting schedule this week:
Kitsap County Commissioners (meet at 619 Division Street, Port Orchard)
Monday, Nov. 15: The morning meeting has been canceled.
Noon to 3 p.m.: The board will dedicate the entire three hours to hear from DCD director Larry Keeton about the “year of the rural.”
Wednesday, Nov. 17, 8:30 a.m.: The meeting starts with a 45 minute agenda review for the upcoming meeting, then information sharing from 9:15 to 10 a.m. After a 5 minute break, HR director Bert Furuta will talk with the board about homelessness for 40 minutes. Larry Keeton will be back to talk about countywide planning policies and population allocations from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. The board will then recess into executive session until noon to discuss real estate issues.
City of Bremerton (meets at 345 Sixth Street, Bremerton)
Wednesday, Nov. 17, 5 p.m.: Briefing at 5 p.m. followed by meeting at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers. No agenda online, so don’t know what they’ll be discussing.
City of Port Orchard (meets at 219 Prospect Street)
Tuesday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m.: The City Council has a work study session, items on the agenda include and update on Kitsap PUD No. 1 from Jim Boldt (15 min); adjournment to go into labor negotiation discussions for 30 minutes; after reconvening the council will discuss the 2011 Budget (60 min); and end the evening with a discussion and the parking garage (60 min).
City of Poulsbo (notice new meeting location: City Hall, 200 Moe Street)
Wednesday, Nov. 17, 5 p.m.: This is the big night for the city — all city functions are now operating out of the new City Hall building at 200 Moe Street. Festivities for the grand-opening celebration kick off at 5 p.m., and a regular council meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
