Angel Backs Benton for U.S. Senate

South Kitsap state Rep. Jan Angel is backing State Sen. Don Benton, R-Vancouver, in his bid to oust Democratic U.S. Sen. Patty Murray in the November election. This might not carry the same weight Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Clint Didier does, but neither Palin or Didier live here.

TUMWATER, WA – The Benton for U.S. Senate Campaign today announced Washington State Senator Don Benton has earned the endorsement of fellow Washington State lawmaker, State Representative Jan Angel in the race to defeat U.S. Senator Patty Murray.

“I’m thrilled to endorse Senator Benton in this race,” commented Representative Angel. “He is committed to improving our economy. He will work to lower taxes, put a stop to out-of-control spending, and promote pro-growth policies that will get our economy moving again. He is exactly the person we need to send to Washington, D.C. in this time of economic turmoil.”

Representative Angel is serving her first term in the Washington State House of Representatives. She represents Washington’s 26th Legislative District.

“I’m pleased to have the endorsement from Representative Angel,” said Senator Benton. “She understands that our economy needs to be our focus as lawmakers and she knows that I’m firmly committed to putting the brakes on reckless spending, keeping taxes low and making it my focus to have good paying jobs available to the American worker again.”
