Committee Assignments So Far

December 8th, 2008 by Steven Gardner

Washington state Senate Democrats sent out the full list of committee assignments. Here’s where your elected officials will be serving.

State Sen. Derek Kilmer, D-Gig Harbor
Chairman, Higher Education & Workforce Development Committee
Member, Transportation Committee

State Sen. Phil Rockefeller, D-Bainbridge Island
Chairman, Enviornment, Water & Energy
Member, Ways & Means

State Sen. Tim Sheldon, D-Potlatch
Member, Environment, Water & Energy
Member, Transportation Committee

All we have from the House so far are the committee chair positions. For the five Democratic Kitsap representatives, one chairs a committee. Kathy Haigh, D-Shelton, will chair the Education Appropriations Committee, which used to be a subcommittee.

Senator Sheldon should be happy that he is on ANY comittees in the State Senate.
