HuffPo Writer Suggests Inslee for Energy
November 18th, 2008 by Steven GardnerIt’s a headline, too, not just an afterthought. Most speculation on U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee, D-Bainbridge Island, has been about Interior. Huffington Post writer Jeremy Jacquot opines that Inslee should go from having his named mentioned “in passing” to the head of the list for Energy.
Unlike most politicians who profess themselves to be fans of a “green economy” and clean energy technologies (many of which did so because it became politically convenient), Rep. Inslee evinces a remarkable knowledge of and interest in the topic.
This is the only writing, and it was done a week ago, that comes out that strongly for Inslee. Other names figure more prominently, including California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Even he is down the list from the likes of Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell and former Assistant Secretary of Energy Dan Reicher.

Inslee has two strikes against him: He supported Clinton – not Obama; and his only claim to fame is serving as a member of the House. No relevant executive experience. Rarely do House members get appointed Cabinet Secretaries.
Huffington Post is not the most reliable blog.

Buider do you even know Jay Inslee!?!?!
Jay Inslee has authored the New Apollo Energy Act and has pushed it for over a decade. Also he was congressman in the 4th Congressional District that has a little project known as Hanford and Grand Coulee Dam. Congressman Inslee has an incredible on energy. His biggest competition for the position is Governor Richardson who used to be the Secretary of Energy and headed DOE. Congressman Inslee is in a better position to run Hanford than Do-nothing Dirty Doc Hastings.
Besides Senator Clinton is likely going to be Secretary of State and both Vice President Biden and White House Chief of Staff Emanuel were Clintonian Democrats.
