NK Community…NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

NK Community National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 2 7-8:45 pm Gateway Fellowship

Next Thursday marks the 62nd National Day of Prayer.  People across America will be joining their hearts in prayer as they seek God’s guidance for our beloved country. One looks at the bleak forecast for the future of America and wonders, “What can I do?” The answer is:  We can pray! Humanly speaking, our situation is hopeless.  Man has chosen his own path in direct violation to Scripture and it will end in disaster.  However, God has not forsaken us.  He has provided a way. “If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray, seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their land.”   II Chronicles 7:14 Please take the opportunity to repent for America and humbly seek God’s mercy for a nation gone astray. Members of the North Kitsap Community will be meeting in the Pearson Fellowship Hall at Gateway Fellowship to observe this special day.  Josh Hinman, West Sound director of Youth for Christ, will be speaking about the needs of youth and families.  The US Marine Corps will present the colors; musicians from North Kitsap Baptist Church will lead worship; local pastors will pray for the needs of our community and nation; participants will be invited to form small prayer circles; an offering will be taken for the NK Coffee Oasis ministry.  Everyone is welcome. Hope to see you there! For more information about the National Day of Prayer, go to www.nationaldayofprayer.org

Latter Glory

THE LATTER GLORY HOUSE Come join us Friday, April 19th as we welcome Linda Meissner to The Latter Glory House. Linda was involved in the ministry of David Wilkerson and Nicky Cruz. Below is a short bio on Linda and her ministry: Linda Meissner, known from the pages of “The Cross and The Switchblade” by David Wilkerson. Linda Meissner worked among the organized gangs and drug-addicts in the original Teen Challenge in New York together with David Wilkerson and Nicky Cruz. Linda Meissner founded the Jesus People Movement and the Jesus People Army in the Pacific Northwest. From 1972-2012 she lived in Europe, but in 2012 Linda Meissner has returned to America with a new vision. Linda Meissner is raising up JPA Ministries all across the USA. She is currently located in Seattle, WA. The vision is to fill the streets with Jesus and have fun while doing it. Have you heard about Jesus? Do you know Jesus? Jesus is the answer for the world today. And we’re not ashamed to say so. In fact, we’re going to say it in as many ways as we can to as many people as we can, ‘cause that’s what we do in the new Jesus People Army. Anyone can join the Army. If you love Jesus and can’t wait to let the world know, you’re practically one of us already. We should definitely hook up, share ideas and just do it! Our vision is to have a Catacombs Coffee-House, where we meet, have live music, and speak with people about Jesus! Linda with the Jesus People Army. 1970

THE LATTER GLORY HOUSE
Dr. Bree Keyton began her professional career as a warm-up act for rock stars and had her own nightclub act. One night, while the band was playing, she was shot in the head. Through the miraculous intervention of the living God, she survived and now shares the LORD’s great healing power with others.
Bree ministers in power evangelism, with an apostolic/prophetic call, brandishing a sword of steel while exercising the sword of the Spirit. More than a million have been saved, delivered and received physical and emotional healing by the awesome power of God through her ministry. She leads dynamic prayer walk teams, and has a special call to break strongholds over cities, and nations. She leads rescue missions in jungles, travels the world teaching her college courses, and holding conferences and crusades.
Currently, Bree’s primary focus is on the desperately urgent rescue missions she is leading, for Pygmies in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She has risked her life repeatedly to keep them from being eaten by rebel soldiers, as the war rages all around them. Bree has rescued 47,000 Pygmies so far, as the genocide continues against the Pygmies.
Bree earned doctorates in both Theology, and in Administration and Education, and is a professor at Faith Bible College where she designs curriculum, and serves on the board as Director of Research. She teaches her college courses throughout the world for college credit. Currently, she is planting churches and Bible colleges in Africa and South America.

Faith Fellowship and Georgia House were in the news on Resurrection Sunday .  The Saturday before I got an email from my church , Olympic View Assembly of God asking us if  we could help Pastor Randy Wagner , his Congregation and other volunteers to do a make over of Georgia House .

Been thinking of our changing culture , how it has caused many Christians I know including myself feel as though our country is slipping away . But  Religion in politics has had  a harmful effect on our culture from my view . Rome was quite ruthless and intolerant in its years before Christianity took hold Sexual immorality was everywhere , Rome  was tolerant of most belief systems while promoting a culture of indulgence  and corruption .

Christians did not take the stand of my God is better then yours, or that I am a better person because of my religion . Force legislation and causing life time politcal enemies in the process. They promoted a culture of loving their neighbor and loving God . It caught on .

Faith Fellowship reminded us of this last Sunday . Single moms , women who are hurting , made bad decisions or made right ones but had bumps in the road , just needing a safe place , Love , a helping hand is what Georgia House is all about .

That is the Christian message , that is what our Lord did on the Cross , He forgave us , and told us to forgive others . Politics brings solutions , but it also brings life time enemies .  Christ brings forgiveness and a new start .

The best pro life message I have seen has not been political , it has been those who have received the Love and Forgiveness of Christ and sharing that with others . Mentoring them and  helping them to follow the Cross .
