Compassion… The Love of Christ Changing Lives.

Often being a Christian in the world of today can overwhelm us with what to do to help the poor and love the lost .
The poor at times seem unconcerned with help from God and the lost appear to like it that way .
Here is one sure way of being involved with the Church of Christ and allow that Love to be seen in the life of a young child and family .

Start Sponsoring a Child Today!

Your tax-deductible contribution of just $38 a month connects your child with a loving, church-based Child Sponsorship Program. You can discontinue your child sponsorship at any time.

Your support provides:

  • Food and clean water
  • Medical care
  • Educational opportunities
  • Important life-skills training
  • Most important of all, your sponsored child will hear about Jesus Christ and be encouraged to develop a lifelong relationship with God.

When you sponsor a child, you’ll receive your child’s photo, personal story and a child sponsorship packet by mail in approximately 15 days.

When children find out they’ve been sponsored, the joy they feel is indescribable. Just knowing that someone across the globe cares means more than you can imagine. Sponsoring a child will profoundly change the future for your child, and will change your own life as well.

Hope and Victory Through Christ

THE LATTER GLORY HOUSE
David was bound by an addiction to heroin for approximately three years. In June of 2011 he came to the end of himself and went to go to a ministry called Saul to Paul.
David Sheldon is back home from Indiana for a while this summer. He has finished the program he was in and, when he returns to Indiana, he will be working at a church as a youth leader as well as continuing his studies through Liberty University. If you were able to be here when David was here in May you know his testimony  so please bring others who need to hear the message of deliverance and freedom through Christ Jesus. David also has a message the Lord has given him to share with us tomorrow night.
The service will begin at 7:00pm with worship and then David will speak. A free will offering will be taken for David at the service. Hope to see you all there. You will be blessed!

Wars caused by religion or man ?

Often we read of the evil and war caused by religion . And perhaps there is some truth to that . But what is also apparent is the agenda of the comments surrounding the accusations .  For we know sin is the reason for wars , the desire for man to rule over others . To take what is not his.  Recent studies have shown religious reasons for wars have actually only been about 4 percent of the reasons for the wars and conflicts attributed to religion since history has been recorded. Not exactly what we are led to believe by the secular and atheist academics of our day .
I wonder why that is ?
“For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man” (Mark 7:21–23).
