Edited 9:20 PM—Adjusted high/low temperatures on Extended Forecast

Amazingly, models have not backed down at all with this event…the arctic express is still on!

But first, it was a cold one today! Bremerton Airport recorded a high temperature of 33 degrees after a low of…get this…30. We haven’t moved much today. And the temperature will drop like a rock tonight. I expect some Kitsap locations to record lows in the teens, though lower 20s is likely for most. Overall? It’ll be bitter cold tonight.

Tomorrow will be equally as cold with sunny skies and highs near freezing, though not quite cracking the mark. A big batch of clouds could move in Monday evening, hindering the potential for an excessively cold night, but it will still get down into the lower 20s. We may even see some more snow flurries overnight. Tuesday will be similar with highs near freezing and lows again in the teens to lower 20s.

Wednesday we slowly start to moderate and we’ll climb into the mid 30s under partly sunny skies. Thursday we introduce some more flurries with highs in the mid 30s before warmer and wetter weather returns for the weekend. Right now forecasting models aren’t calling for a snowy transition, but I believe the Hood Canal area will be stubborn in releasing ALL the cold air, so there could be some snow in that area. Stay tuned.

Also, a little note, fellow weather enthusiast Wachi Suyaruenkaew has provided me with an “upgrade” in weather graphics and today is the debut! I am keeping the same weather icons, but the layout is very different. I hope you like it.

So far those predictions of dry, overcast, and less moisture are all holding true. Let’s see if the moisture will make its way here.

I love the new weather graphics!

I had a question though: is there any way we could see what the temps actually were for the previous day? Sometimes I miss the forecast and it’s just about impossible to find out how much rain has fallen or how hot or how cold the day got. For example, there’s always a forecast for x inches of rain, but unless it’s in a news story, if I show up here at night, I can’t find out what it really was. Either that or I just get light-headed this time of night and can’t find where to look, which is totally possible! LOL

    Thanks, Kelly!

Sure, here’s the link for weather history for the Bremerton Airport (weather history is only kept at certain locations, so you won’t be able to find out what the rainfall total or temperature was in say, Seabeck.

But there is a reporting station in Shelton if that’s closer. I’ll give you both links!
