I went here very recently and was not happy with the food. The male server hit on my boyfriend, touching him inappropriately on the shoulder 3 times. Man or women, gay, straight, bi, or whatever, it is never ok to hit on your customers especially when they have their significant other with them. I ordered the fish and chips, he had the seafood pasta, we ordered the cheesy garlic bread app. and our friends had two salads. My fish and chips tasted like something you get from a box at Walmart (horrible and cheap!) the seafood pasta dressing was much to salty and sweet (cheap tasting) and completely covered up the taste of the seafood and the noodles. The seafood was basically minced fish from a can (so it seemed and tasted), and a very tiny portion. The garlic bread app. tasted like the bread was stale or had been sitting out waiting to be served or just premade. The salads were decent and big, but the dressings were like what you would buy at a store, nothing special. For the price you think you would get something a little better. The tarter was super super sweet, not in a good way. I honestly noticed a trend in all the food: a whole lot of salt an sugar. If your a foodie, you know that salt and sugar in abundance are used to cover up food. Good quality food speaks for itself and should not have to be covered, it should be accented! The rest of the waitstaff seem pleasant, but the service, even on a slow day is slower. I liked silver city much better about 5 years ago. Everything was just more quality. I loved going there, but the quality and price is just not worth it. they have great beers, but that is all I really like about the place. Friend, family, and other customers have told me the feel the same as I do, and I will not be going back until I hear from those I know that do go, that the food is better.

We wanted to make it to The Bite after our half marathon that Sunday but the weather was unkind so we ended up doing Ipanema's for lunch instead.

Glad to see the Blackberry Fest got a shout-out!

There is free parking on First Street, by the Kitsap Credit Union, which isn't far if you're able to walk. The lot right next to the boardwalk is usually paid, but I'll ask someone on Monday and double-check that.

@Suzanne- Angela is correct. There are already several local markets on Saturday, so participation by vendors & customers would be lower if we chose Saturday. We're glad to provide the Thursday Market as an option for those that ride Kitsap Transit exclusively. The Sunday market will reach several unique groups- the live-aboard community at the marina, those that work late hours during the week (myself included) who may be unable to get to the Thursday market in time after work, and those that live downtown or may be staying in hotels downtown.

I don't know that a Saturday market in Bremerton would survive with three other markets in Kitsap (Bainbridge, Poulsbo, Port Orchard) on the same day.
