Suggestions for Places to Eat and Drink in the Sunshine

In the Pacific Northwest, we know how to celebrate the sun. It doesn’t even have to be that warm before we break out the shorts and sandals, barbecues and flock to nearly anyplace with a deck, patio or lawn to eat and drink in the sun.

So as I took longing glances at the rays of sun sneaking into the office, I daydreamed about where I could join the flock after work.

Also in the Pacific Northwest, those close to Seattle can be somewhat techy. And to find suggestions, I turned to Twitter. I asked Kitsap Sun’s Twitter followers to suggest places to head after work. I thought I’d share what folks there had to say below, and welcome any more in the comments. Then we can all daydream for the next sunny day, whenever it may be (hint, apparently not this week.)

Their suggestions were the Boat Shed in Bremerton and Doc’s Marina Grill, Harbour Public House and Edna’s Beach Cafe on Bainbridge. Other suggestions included going picnic style at Silverdale Waterfront Park and to downtown Manchester. (Thanks to @CynthiaBarrett, @Chicajones, @theclimbergirl, @oneicity , @hanniespice, @jimthomsen, and @karen4191 for the suggestions.)

I’ve got hours for some of the places in my Kitsap happy hour guide, which I’ll update over the next couple of months.
