If you’re feeling like doing a little trendy dining in Seattle, now’s your chance to save at least a buck or two. The annual New Urban Eats deal lets you try dinner at one of 17 restaurants opened since 2006. For $30, you get an appetizer, entree and dessert, which isn’t bad for most Seattle dinners .
Two of the restaurants are within walking distance from the downtown ferry terminal:
The first is BOKA Kitchen + Bar. It’s at the corner of First and Madison, the one with the color-changing neon wall-o-lights.
Their deal menu options are:
Appetizers: Parsnip Soup with dry roasted beets or apple and endive salad or crispy oyster sliders.
Entrée: Grilled Thundering Hooves Pork Chop
with parsnip puree, roasted pears, frizzled carrots and pear
caramel
or
Wild Mexican Prawns with green beans, pan roasted tomatoes and
ginger-soy glaze
or
Delicata Squash Risotto with toasted pumpkin seeds and delicata
chips
And for Dessert: Burnt Honey Vanilla Bean Crème Brulée with honey and vanilla custard Sorbet Trio or Pumpkin Bread Pudding with sage ice cream and cranberry compote
There’s also Juno at 700 Third Avenue.
