Weekly wine defined: Bottle tickets

Mary writes:

In the late 17th century, buying wine in a glass bottle was a fairly new and expensive concept.

Most of these wines were labeled with either a leather or carved wooden label. The more well to do had engraved silver tags hung around the neck with a chain called bottle tickets.

As you can imagine, bottle tickets are worth a fortune today.
