Weekly wine defined: Bardolino

August 27th, 2012 by brynn grimley

Bardolino is an Italian red wine that is a light-bodied wine that is most similar to a rose. While slightly darker in color than a rose, the wine is certainly lighter in color and alcohol content than its Italian cousins.

This wine is dry, crisp and good for the summer time. It pairs well with cheeses, pizza, lighter pasta dishes and tomato-based seafood dishes. It’s better when served slightly cool and should be drank within three years of its vintage.
