Thanks for the question - I&#039;m currently in the Midwest visiting family, so Mary and I aren&#039;t meeting this week, but I&#039;ll send her an email and see what she thinks. I think Ste. Michelle could work for aging, but I&#039;d recommend going with one of their more expensive labels, as opposed to an everyday Merlot that is meant to be drunk within the year. I&#039;ll email Mary and let her weigh in, since she has more knowledge than I do on aging wine.

Speaking of aged wine, I am looking for a Washington state wine to age in the bottle.  I was thinking Merlot, but I am not sure.  I am considering aging the wine for 15 years.  Will a mass produced wine (like Ste Michelle) work?

I plan to keep the bottle on its side in a cool dark place.  Good?
