Bremerton District Meetings To Focus On Budget
October 7th, 2008 by abinionBremerton residents will hear from their council representatives on the city’s budget wrangling next Tuesday.
Residents of council districts 4, 5 and 6, are invited to the neighborhood meetings Oct. 14.
The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. and runs to 7 p.m. (Thanks, Colleen)
Other Bremerton residents can also go if they wish.
Mayor Cary Bozeman has painted a dismal year for the city’s general fund revenues. Budget writers are now closing a $4.4 million projected deficit ($34.6 million expected coming in, $39.1 million expected going out) so that a balanced budget will be presented to the council Oct. 22

Thanks Mike and Andrew. I am really disappointed that I am going to have to miss tonight’s meeting. It falls entirely during Pee Wee Football practice and since Jason (my husband) is out of town this week…it’s all on me.
Fortunately I have Andrew and his superior reporting skills to rely on for a complete update and summary of what is discussed. If there is a PowerPoint presentation, I would love to have a copy of that as well. Chief Al Duke was nice enough to send me the PowerPoint presentation he used during a previous District 4 meeting regarding the EMS Levy. It was very helpful.
Thanks again guys.

I have a simple one page of bullets that we talked from. I could also redux (I think I learned that from Andrew) for a small group of your neighbors at someone’s house or at the Smith School (KCR) if you would like?

Hey Mike,
I might actually take you up on that. Let me talk to some of the more active individuals in my neighborhood and get back to you.
Thanks,
