Beijing’s Temple of Heaven

The park and complex of Taoist buildings — known as the Temple of Heaven — is filled with people playing music and practicing taiji bailong, a kind of paddleball Tai Chi.

Before this year’s Olympics, the complex underwent a nearly 5.9 million renovation.
