Olympic Women’s Triathlon and Marathon Photos

The heat on Sunday and Monday made for grueling outdoor triathlon and marathon races at the Beijing Olympics.

See scenes from two of the women’s races by clicking on the photo at left and browsing through the photo gallery.

Australia’s Emma Snowsill took gold in the triathlon. Vanessa Fernandes of Portugal won the silver. American American Laura Bennett stayed in third place for most of the run, but lost the bronze to Emma Moffatt of Australia.
