Day One Brings a Challenge

Photographer Larry Steagall twisted his ankle at the Beijing Olympics

Kitsap Sun photographer Larry Steagall arrived in Beijing on assignment at the 2008 Olympic Games for the Scripps Howard News Service. An accident the first day, however, will prove to be a challenge as he tries to photograph the Olympic games. Click play below to hear him talk about it:

He was able, however, to capture some scenes that first day. Though the opening ceremonies aren’t until Friday, he’ll have to heal soon to capture at the pre-games action and photo opportunities.

Poor Larry! What a way to start out! You’re a real trooper!

  2. Matt Sroka Says:

Larry, keep your chin up, and your ankle too (at least for a day)! I hope the remainder of your trip is filled with good light, great food, an all-access pass and many decisive moments. If all that fails then F8 AND BE THERE! Heal soon and have a safe trip. Kitsap is looking forward to more of your always spectacular photos.
