Two arrests in three days for Bainbridge man
A 23-year-old Bainbridge Island man who was arrested Sunday on suspicion of burglarizing a neighbor’s house didn’t stay out of jail very long.
Bainbridge police say they arrested the man again Tuesday morning for allegedly breaking into his parents’ house on Windsong Loop. The break-in was reported by the neighbors whose house he allegedly broke into Sunday.
The man’s parents confirmed to police that he is not welcome in their home. Police say they found him in his parents’ house “consuming prescription drugs.”
He had been booked Sunday on felony charges of burglary and possession stolen property. Police say he made a court appearance on those charges at 3 p.m. Monday, then was arrested again at 9:30 Tuesday morning.

The final suspect in a burglary
ring believed to have stolen more than $250,000 in property has
been arrested in Nevada, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s
Office.
Donald L. Pugh Jr. of South Kitsap was arrested without incident by the Las Vegas Metro Police about 7:30 a.m. Monday, the sheriff’s office said.
Pugh was believed to be involved in a burglary ring in North Kitsap and on Bainbridge Island in late 2007 and early 2008 that detectives said involved 100 break-ins and thefts of more than $250,000 worth of property.
A handful of suspects were arrested, charged and convicted in the case, and given sentences of up to 70 months in state prison.
Pugh will first face extradition proceedings in Nevada for residential burglary and three other charges, the sheriff’s office said.
Paperboy burglar sentenced
A Suquamish man is the latest to plead guilty in a burglary ring that included more than 100 break-ins and more than $250,000 in thefts on Bainbridge Island and around North Kitsap, according to documents filed in Kitsap County Superior Court.
