This week, a Bainbridge woman knocked out her husband when she threw a barrage of dishes and at least one alarm clock his way.
Also this week, a speeding motorcyclist crashed when he spotting a waiting patrol car.

July 23
Assault: A 41-year-old Bainbridge woman was arrested for assaulting
her husband at their Vineyard Lane home shortly after 12:30 p.m.
The victim was slapped and struck in the head by a thrown object,
causing him to lose consciousness. The suspect said the victim fell
to the floor and was unresponsive for a short time. It is unknown
what object hit the victim, but there were ceramic shards and an
alarm clock on the floor of the home when police arrived. The
victim refused medical aid. The suspect was taken to the county
jail in Port Orchard.
July 22
Assault: A 69-year-old Bainbridge man was arrested for assaulting
his girlfriend at their Madrona Way home shortly after 9:30 p.m.
The suspect said he grabbed the victim but did not strike her. The
victim said the suspect put his hands around her throat. She had
some bruising on her chin. Police believe the suspect was
intoxicated during the assault. He was not taken to jail because he
had recently undergone “intrusive surgery,” police said. Police
allowed him to remain at his home while the victim spent the night
“at a safe place,” police said.
Theft: A Bainbridge woman reported that her wallet was stolen from an unlocked car parked at Battle Point Park shortly after 9:30 a.m.
July 21
Crash: A 23-year-old Bainbridge man lost control of his speeding
motorcycle and crashed on Highway 305 near Vineyard Lane. The man
had driven off the Winslow ferry shortly after 2 a.m. and was
traveling at about 70 mph in a 40 mph zone. “When the driver saw
the police vehicle in his headlights, he panicked and squeezed the
brake. The brake locked up and the driver lost control,” causing
him to slide down the road, an officer said. No injuries or
citations were reported.
July 19
Theft: A Bainbridge man reported that one of his paintings was
stolen from a local restaurant.
July 18
Crash: A 67-year-old Bainbridge man was injured when he lost
control of his bicycle on Komedal Road. He was airlifted to
Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with shoulder and head
injuries. He may have suffered a concussion, police said.
July 12
Burglary: A Bainbridge woman reported the theft of a CD player, art
supplies and art tools from a studio on Miller Road.
July 11
Crash: A Bainbridge man was cited for negligent driving after he
drove his vehicle into a ditch near the Dingley Road-Park Avenue
intersection just after 1:15 a.m. The crash caused the vehicle to
flip over. No injuries were reported. The man admitted he had been
speeding when a deer raced across the road, causing him to swerve
into the ditch.
Vandalized: A Battle Point Park bathroom’s toilets, sinks and pipes were smashed.
July 9
Theft: A glass art sculpture was stolen from the outside of Danger,
a Winslow Way store, sometime during the night
July 8
Theft: About $1,000 cash was stolen from an unattended purse in a
Wyatt Way building just before 8 p.m.
