Great Ceasar’s Ghost! I just read this obituary on the Notebook, under Shining etcetc’s banner, and it appeared to have been written by Jimmy Olsen, cub reporter for Shining Etc.,and was impressed by the well written and researched piece. Unusual work for Jimmy. Then, at the bottom, I find that it was actually written by Tristan Baurick! Jimmy has always loved an obituary,(the PI,the Mayor’s job,the defeat of the school bond etc.), and I guess he just couldn’t help trying to get in on it. At least he gave credit to Mr. Baurick at the very end, but he should have acknowledged it at the beginning of the piece, lest some of the less informed might think he was finally able to find his way around a keyboard.
