Christine will run

Former Bainbridge Island City Councilwoman Christine Nasser Rolfes is planning to run against state Rep. Beverly Woods, R-Kingston, for her 23rd District legislative seat.

Earlier this month Rolfes filed a candidate registration form with the state’s Public Disclosure Commission.

The Bainbridge Democrat served six years on the City Council and is currently a member of the Kitsap Public Facilities District.

To date Rolfes and Woods are the only ones to register as candidates for the Position 2 seat in the 23rd Legislative District.

Incumbent state Rep. Sherry Appleton, D-poulsbo, has registered as a candidate for the Position 1 seat.

  1. Observer of COBI Council Says:

Christine Rolfes is a great example of the Peter Principle in spades. The citizens of Kitsap County do not deserve COBI council paralysis and silliness exported off Our Island. Keep former councilperson Rolfes on Our Island.
